Assessment and Audit

Audit is used to independently verify how accurate something is to a specification and is usually based on random samples. An assessment is made to verify an outcome and how to bring about changing that outcome. Audit and assessment are an essential part of day to day business, it is not enough for today’s customers just to deliver product or service, associated compliance and often conformance is now a given!

We can offer first and second party assessment / audit to enable your business to claim independent review. We can provide information on performance of your business through audit and assessment, our qualified Lead Auditors are able to undertake first and second party work and provide a comprehensive report together with opportunities for improvement to enable your business to improve and gain value from the process. Our team can work with you on international (ISO), European (EN) and British (BS) standards as well as product compliance.

Compliance and Conformance

Compliance and Conformance

In simple terms, compliance is defined as following a specification, standards, legislation or plan. Conformance is defined as following instruction to achieve a desired outcome. Both compliance and conformance are absolutely vital when providing a product or service, and failure to comply or conform to the necessary requirements can cause reputational damage to your company, and compromise confidence in your product.

Our team can help your business recognise a requirement for audit and assessment to enable you to achieve the desired conformance and compliance your customers require.

A1 / NVQ Assessment

Most industries now require a verification of employees or contractor competence. In particular, highly regulated industries such as Rail must obtain independent assessment and records of employee competence. Our A1 assessor has certification to assess competence in the workplace and if you need independent assessment of competencies, we can provide a targeted and comprehensive onsite service that provides the following:

  1. Review of requirements
  2. Review of processes and procedures
  3. Pre/Post assessment Interview of candidates
  4. Detailed assessment of candidates performing tasks
  5. Produce a report of findings including commentary, recommendations, photographic evidence and issuance of Competency Certificates.

Other Services Provided

  1. Risk Assessment – provide a complete set of Risk Assessments
  2. Method Statements – Are common, working hand in hand with the organisation’s legal obligations of Risk Assessments. Complementing the risk assessment by providing detailed information on the correct way a task or process should be completed, including tooling and material requirements. These can prove most valuable when using contract labour or those with little or no experience when undertaking a new task or process
